Pilat HR Solutions has introduced eHR Pulse, a Web-based solution that offers a range of succession planning, talent management, performance management and development management process-support functions.
The tool features a development-management module, which summarizes the entire process of planning individual development, managing it, ensuring that it occurs and measuring the return on investment.
Delivered via an ASP-model, eHR Pulse can be implemented within a few weeks and is targeted to small to medium-sized organizations. It is also appropriate for divisions of large organizations or can be deployed as a pilot for large organizations seeking to institute a performance-management solution.
The price for eHR Pulse starts at $2,000 for low-volume users of the application. The price increases with the number of employees in the system. An initial set-up charge also is applicable and is based on the requirements of the company.

Overtime Rules Help
CCH Inc. is offering tips on its Web site to help employers understand the U.S. Department of Labor's final regulations concerning recent changes to the nation's overtime-pay rules under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

The Society for Human Resource Management has released a new book with accompanying materials aimed at helping HR professionals gain access to the most competitive practices in the recruiting process.
Written by Cathy Fyock, an employment strategist and former director of field human resources for KFC Corp., and published by SHRM, the Hiring Source Book: A Collection of Practical Samples is intended to keep HR practitioners up-to-date on current market practices and legal requirements with hiring advice and materials that are customizable for individual companies.
The tool kit consists of more than 60 samples that include hiring flow charts, job-requisition forms, application forms and interview guides. Materials are also included in Spanish with English equivalents. In addition, the book includes a special chapter on hiring and retaining Hispanic employees, including cultural differences to consider in retention.
The book sells for $44.95 in paperback and includes a CD-ROM with materials in PDF and RTF formats.

New Prescription Benefit
EHS has launched EHS RxOptions, a new pharmacy benefit-management plan that allows plan sponsors to provide up to four different pharmacy-benefit plan options to their employees for the purpose of controlling prescription drug costs. Plan members can choose the plan option they feel best matches the needs of themselves and their families.
For self-insured plans, EHS will return a portion of its fees if specified performance and budget targets aren't met. Qualified plan sponsors can implement EHS RxOptions on a fully insured basis with a guaranteed maximum annual cost.
EHS RxOptions includes built-in disease management and clinical programs that can be tailored to the needs of plan sponsors.
An HCM Enhancement
Softscape, provider of Web-based human-capital-management and case-management solutions, has announced the release of the latest version of its HCM suite, AchievementPlus. The new version expands the company's former suite to include features designed to help HR plan both incentive and compensation processes as separate functions. It also now supports online collaboration through electronic meetings.
Compensation management has been expanded to include a number of pay-for-performance, variable pay and non-cash compensation programs in addition to salary planning.
Pricing is based on the number of users.
